Spring Community Meeting
Plastic-Free MKE hosts in-person meetings bringing together community members, individuals, coalition partners, and anyone who wants to learn, connect, and take action on reducing unnecessary plastics in Milwaukee! At these meetings, we focus on a specific topic, break out into fun, engaging activities, and share our resources on how to take steps toward a plastic-free community.
Did you know that May is compost awareness month? On May 29th, we will hold a Composting Workshop during the Spring Community Meeting! Learn all about the importance of composting, how this is related to plastics, and what composting resources we have in Milwaukee. Our confirmed speakers include Compost Crusader, Kompost Kids, Christie Melby-Gibbons, owner of Tricklebee Cafe, and Leah Holloway from PFMKE and Milwaukee Riverkeeper!
Let’s get together on Thursday, May 29th from 5:30-7:00 pm at the Urban Ecology Center Riverside Park Branch, 1500 E Park Place. Registration for our meeting is not required but encouraged. When you register, you receive important details and information about the event one week prior!
