Attend: Mermaid Echo at Discovery World

Mermaid Echo is back at Discovery World on May 4th with two show options! Theses shows will have a special focus on plastic and its effects on freshwater ecosystems. Echo will help the audience play an interactive game while they learn facts about plastic pollution in the Great Lakes. Learn: Microplastics' Impact on the Human Brain and Heart

Recent studies have found microplastics in the human brain and in the arteries leading to the heart. How do these particles enter our bodies and what happens once they've lodged in our tissues, organs, and arteries? Beyond Plastics, Environmental Advocates NY, and Physicians for Social Responsibility - NYS coordinated a free webinar with the scientists behind the research, Sanjay Rajagopalan, MD and Marcus Garcia, PharmD, RPh. Act: Conservation Lobby Day with Wisconsin Conservation Voters

Wisconsin Conservation Voters is hosting a Conservation Lobby Day on May 6th! This is your chance to meet with your legislators and directly tell them what actions you'd like to see them take on issues like clean water, clean energy, and a healthy democracy. Registration details are linked below, and they have coordinated three different bus services for you to utilize! Leah Holloway, Program Manager at Milwaukee Riverkeeper and Lead Organizer of Plastic-Free MKE, will be there discussing plastic related issues with participants between sessions with legislators.
